This website contains adult material intended only for those 18 years of age or older (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction). By entering, you confirm you meet this requirement and voluntarily agree to view adult content.
This page explains your privacy rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and our copyright takedown process under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). CamWox is an independent aggregator, not a content host, and we take both privacy and copyright compliance seriously.
DMCA stands for the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, a U.S. copyright law addressing the rights and obligations of copyright owners who believe their work has been infringed online.
The DMCA specifically covers the rights and obligations of Online Service Providers (OSPs) and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) on whose servers or networks infringing material may appear. For the full legal text, see the official U.S. DMCA legislation (PDF).
Although the DMCA is U.S. law, CamWox's takedown process is not limited to U.S. rightsholders — we process valid, well-documented removal requests regardless of where the requester or the hosting infrastructure is located.
CamWox is an aggregator: we index and link to live rooms hosted on third-party camsites (LiveJasmin, Chaturbate, BongaCams, and others). We do not host, store, or stream any video content ourselves. In most cases, the fastest way to remove content is to contact the originating camsite directly, but we will always remove or de-list an infringing listing from CamWox upon a valid request.
How to submit a takedown request
Identify the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed, with enough detail for us to locate it.
Provide the exact URL(s) on CamWox where the allegedly infringing material or listing appears.
Include your full name, contact email, and, if applicable, the company or rightsholder you represent.
State that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
State, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
Sign the request (a typed full legal name is accepted as an electronic signature).
Send your complete takedown request to our support team through the contact page.
Counter-Notification
If content you posted was removed in error or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice with your contact details, identification of the removed material, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake.
Are you a performer?
If you are a webcam performer and want your profile removed from CamWox, you do not need a formal DMCA notice — simply contact us and request removal; we will verify and act on genuine performer requests promptly.
Repeat Infringer Policy
Listings or sources linked to repeated, verified copyright infringement are permanently removed from our directory and blocked from being re-indexed.
GDPR — Your Privacy Rights
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the UK, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR give you specific rights over your personal data. This section explains what we collect, why, and how you can exercise those rights.
Data Controller
CamWox acts as the data controller for personal data collected directly through this website (such as contact form submissions and technical/log data). Camsite operators linked from CamWox are separate, independent data controllers for any account or payment data you provide directly to them.
What data we collect
We collect limited technical data needed to operate the site: your IP address and approximate country (for content localization and abuse prevention), basic browser/device information, and any details you voluntarily submit through our contact or newsletter forms. We do not require account registration to browse CamWox.
Legal basis for processing
We process technical data under our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functional website, and we process contact-form or newsletter data based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Your rights under GDPR
Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Erasure — request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
Restriction — ask us to limit how we process your data in certain circumstances.
Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest, including for direct marketing.
Withdraw consent — withdraw previously given consent at any time, without affecting past lawful processing.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to remember your language and age-verification choice, and analytics cookies to understand site usage. You can manage cookie preferences through the consent banner shown on your first visit, or through your browser settings.
Data retention
We retain contact-form submissions and support correspondence only as long as necessary to resolve your request, and technical logs for a limited period for security and abuse-prevention purposes.
Exercising your rights
To exercise any of the rights above, or for any privacy-related question, please contact our support team. We aim to respond to verified requests within 30 days, as required by the GDPR.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a DMCA takedown request take?
We aim to review and act on complete, valid takedown requests within a few business days. Requests missing required information may take longer while we request clarification.
Can I request that my personal data be deleted?
Yes. Under the GDPR's right to erasure, you can ask us to delete personal data we hold about you by contacting our support team, subject to any legal retention obligations.
Does CamWox host or store any video content?
No. CamWox is an aggregator that links to live rooms on third-party camsites. All video streams are hosted and served directly by those platforms, not by CamWox.
